The only problem I have run into is that when I pull the cord, the fabric just bunches up rather than forming nice pleats. Any ideas why this happens?
Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14063968740625841888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14261219.post-68824337549297478432011-09-08T16:55:39.567-06:002011-09-08T16:55:39.567-06:00OMGosh, I'm SO going to try these. If you do it the other way around, the way I do it in the post, then you will probably need L-brackets to hold the board to the wall. So yup, I think what you're doing is right!Cynthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04349687071580858191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14261219.post-34761648085784229412011-07-31T12:06:57.027-06:002011-07-31T12:06:57.027-06:00Hi Cynthia-I made my shade last night and am going...Hi Cynthia-I made my shade last night and am going to resume today with covering my 1x2. I am mounting on the wall just below my crown molding for the tall window effect. I'm assuming that my eye screws will be on the bottom (1" side) of the board and i'll screw my board to the wall on the 2" side? Does that make sense? If I can get this finished successfully, I will definitely do more! Thanks for the great tutorial!
Jeannej.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03861556708124215619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14261219.post-54769740238827229202011-02-17T22:50:44.580-07:002011-02-17T22:50:44.580-07:00I cannot believe I know this! Do I win a free Roman shade for knowing that?! ;o)

Great shades, BTW. I also love the gray pillow with the turquoise patterned band. They're starting to look worn. I'm scared of making roman shades, but it would be nice to have some new ones! And, you made it look pretty easy! Too bad I have a hate hate relationship with my sewing machine :( I'll have to think about this. Your beautiful big girl sure was a cute 4 year old :)Aubrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07809392702923128419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14261219.post-60708824899033110772011-02-14T14:21:10.510-07:002011-02-14T14:21:10.510-07:00I am SO HAPPY that you posted this!
